Paul Onobi joins Lobi Stars

Sportinglens.blogspot.com can report that the former Abia Warriors midfielder, Paul Onobi has joined Lobi Stars ahead of the second stanza of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) which resume this weekend.


Onobi was among the eight players released by Abia Warriors during the mid-season transfer window.

Sportinglens.blogspot.com’s check on Lobi Stars’ camp in Makurdi revealed that the Super Eagles star has been registered among the players to be paraded for the second stanza campaign.

A source told Sportinglens.blogspot.com that Onobi has started training with the club and participating in warm up matches arranged to prepare the squad for the league resumption.

“Onobi is one of the big stars in Lobi Stars’ camp in Makurdi. He is currently training with the club and it seems he has agreed to stay here because the club has registered him among the new signing for the second stanza. He is an experienced player and he is a good addition to the club,” a source disclosed to Sportinglens.blogspot.com.  


Onobi had played for Sunshine Stars and Enyimba FC before he had a stint with KuPs FC of Finland.
