Katsina United thrilled with Dominic Abah’s performance

By Taofeek Babalola

The management of Katsina United is delighted that the new signing Dominic Abah is justifying the reason why the club signed him, Sportinglens.blogspot.com reports.

The Senegalese, who joined the Changi Boys from Ikorodu United as a strong back up for Usman Barau, is really giving his best for the team, according to the club’s media officer Wale Oyekanmi.

Abah made his NPFL debut for Katsina in the matchday 20 clash against Kano Pillars in Kano when Barau was suspended for accumulated yellow cards. His performance that day helped him to command a regular shirt in the coach Abdullahi Biffo’s squad.

His chances of getting regular playing time were also boosted with the Yisau Garba, another out siding defensive mid fielder, in the team was injured.

Oyekanmi told Sportinglens.blogspot.com that Abah has been outstanding inclusion in the team since he made his debut for the club.  He has played in four league games since he completed his switch to Katsina.

“Abah is a good buy for Katsina United. He was signed as a strong back up for Usman Barau but he has convinced everyone in the team that he is a first team player and he has really made his way into the team based on his outstanding performance on the pitch,” Wale said to Sportinglens.blogspot.com.

“He was introduced for the first time in the game against Kano Pillars when Barau was suspended for accumulated yellow cards and he did the job very well. So since that day, the coach has found away to find a place for him in the team. He is really doing well for the club.”

Oyekanmi also revealed that the players are in good shape for the re-start of the league. Katsina United will travel to Omoku in River Stars for their next game against Go Round FC when the league resume.

“We are preparing well for the league resumption and only waiting for the LMC to announce the date for the league resumption. All players are okay because the management is doing everything within its power to ensure that the players are good for the resumption.”
