Sarri: Moses not my type of player

By Taofeek Babalola

Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri has told Nigeria International Victor Moses that he is currently do not feature in his plans, Sportinglens.blogspot.com reports.

Sarri admitted he is unsure whether Moses can adapt enough to fit into his tactical blueprint at Stamford Bridge.

The Italian manager expressed the same view on Moses’ teammate Danny Drinkwater who has also falling in the pecking order since sari joined the team at the beginning of the season.

Moses has made six appearances for The Blues but only two in the Premier League under new manager Sarri while Drinkwater has only featured in the Community Shield for Chelsea this term.

Asked if Moses and Drinkwater still have futures at the club, Sarri replied: “I don’t know; they have to improve, but the characteristics are a little bit different.

“And Moses is more suitable for playing like a wing-back than like a winger or a full-back.”

“The situation is that Drinkwater for me is not suitable for a midfield with two midfielders. I told him two months ago what I think.”
