Twitter users slam Katsina United over shabby medical screening given to players

By Akanni Olawale

Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) followers have expressed their disappointment to the management of Katsina United over untidy medical screening given to their players, Sportinglens.blogspot.com reports.

Katsina United FC, on Thursday, via their Twitter handle @fckatsinaunited, revealed that Super Eagles goalkeeper, Ikechukwu Ezenwa and Sheriff Bashir have signed with the club after the duo passed their medicals.

Photos shared by Katsina United Football Club showing their players undergoing medicals angered Nigerians who believed the club portrayed the league in bad light with unprofessional ways of handling their players’ medical screening.

However, the club’s media officer, Wale Oye responded to the medical screening outcry: “Does it really matter where the medical was conducted? I think and believe the most important factors here should be the necessary medical routines and the eventual results.”

These guys don’t get it. Nigeria’s most successful club doesn’t have a clubhouse nor a decent office. And you tell me this isn’t a deep rooted problem?

This response right here is the reason our clubs keep acting like they jumped out of the bush. You’re a Manchester United supporter, would they do this?
