Aftermath of Covid-19 test: Rivers United raises alarm over Young Africans’ plot to keep players, officials in Tanzania

 

Rivers United football club has uncovered plans by Young Africans of Tanzania to continue to keep four players and three officials of the club in Tanzania despite testing negative to Covid-19 on Thursday September 16, 2021.

Wayne Rooney and some of his Everton team-mates used the club's pre-season tour of Tanzania as an opportunity to immerse themselves in the culture of the East African nation. Alongside Morgan Schneiderlin, Kevin Mirallas and youngster Jonjoe Kenny, the ex-England and Manchester United captain enjoyed a meeting with Maasai warriors.
