Purported Resignation: Dogo apologises

By Taofeek Babalola

Nasarawa United technical adviser, Kabiru Dogo has tendered his unreserved apology to the Nasarawa State Government, club's management and fans over his purported resignation.

Dogo made the apology on Monday at the emergency meeting of the management board.

The former ABS manager said his intention to resign was based on promised he made after their league game against Gombe United that he will resign if he fails to pick six points in the next two home games.

The club's media officer, Musa Elayo who was at the meeting told Sportinglens.blogspot.com that: "The coach was summoned by the management to explain why he made such statements without properly informing the board. He said it was not intentional and apologised to the state government, management and fans of the club for his actions. He said he made the statements when he failed to pick maximum six points as promised. He said he made the statement out of passion he has for the club.

"He has promised to continue with his job and turn things around in the club. He also said he will make some changes in the club so as to make the team formidable again. He vowed to go for points in the game against El Kanemi Warriors and Akwa United. The management warned him to desist from such act in the nearest future while promised him a total support."
