Mangut wants quick response to home loss

Rangers International F C Chief Coach, Mbwas Mangut has urged his players to forget their frustrating 2023 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) match day one home loss to Abia Warriors and bounce back to winning ways.

The hopes of the ‘Flying Antelopes’ to start the abridged league on a good note was nipped in the bud as visiting Abia Warriors F C ran away with a 2-0 win in a Group B, fixture on Sunday

The encounter that took place inside Awka City Stadium saw coach Erasmus Onuh-tutored side scored two late goals in each half to silence the appreciable crowd that turned up for the match.

Mangut knows they have to pick themselves up quickly with a league clash away to Lobi Stars at their adopted home ground, New Jos Stadium, Jos in a match day two fixture on Wednesday.

Mangut said after the encounter: “This was not the result we worked for but that is football for you. We hope to quickly overcome this huge setback and get back on the winning ways.”
