Nasarawa United’s game is a must-win, says Nikyu

By Taofeek Babalola

Coach Bala Nikyu of Wikki Tourists technical adviser has said that his side cannot afford another defeat when they meet Nasarawa United in Wednesday’s second group game of the Aiteo Cup competition in Aba, Sportinglens.blogspot.com reports.

The Big Elephants bowed to Akwa United superiority when they suffered a 1-0 defeat in the first game on Sunday despite their outstanding performance in the game.

The former Katsina United gaffer charged his wards to put Akwa United defeat behind them and focus on the remaining matches in order to qualify to the next round of the competition.

In a chat with Sportinglens.blogspot.com, Nikyu said all hands must be on desk to ensure victory in the remaining two games in the group.

"For tomorrow's (today) match, I think it's a match that must be won," Nikyu said to Sportinglens.blogspot.com. "I think both teams will be thinking that way."

"Right know, I can say that I am quite calm, if we just do what we have prepared, we will have good results."

Team Captain Mustapha Ibrahim described the loss as unfortunate but assured that he and his teammates will give out their best and win against Nasarawa United to qualify from the group.
"I hope that we will have good results," Ibrahim said.
