The
Management of Yobe Desert Stars Football Club of Damaturu has given its
technical crew led by Ngosi Elechi a three-match ultimatum to perform or get
sacked if the situation remain unchanged, Sportinglens.blogspot.com understands.
Yobe Desert
Stars are languishing in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL)
relegation zone due to a poor run of form.
According to
a letter signed by the club's Media Director, Jibo Zakari, said the club
Managing Director, Abdulrahman Ago has approved the three-match ultimatum issue
to the coaching department after an emergency meeting the management and
members of the club.
"The
recent results do not reflect the quality of the players he has in the team, I
call on the coaches and the players to put extra work. Win all matches or get
fired," Ago warned.
"The
coaches and the players need to sit up and work for the team to remain and
maintain their premier league status."
Elechi
joined Yobe Desert Stars at the beginning of the season to replace former
manager Mohammed Baba Ganaru who joined El Kanemi Warriors of Maiduguri.
The Desert machine was forced to a goalless draw at home by former champions Plateau United on Wednesday.
