Makalala eyes win against Katsina United

By Taofeek Babalola

Warri Wolves forward Victor Makalala has said that the Seasiders will go all out for victory in this weekend’s matchday 24 Nigeria Professional Football (NPFL) game against Katsina United at the Muhammadu Dikko Stadium in Katsina, Sportinglens.blogspot.com reports.

The Seasiders bounced back to a winning way on Wednesday when they defeated Lobi Stars 1-0 to move out of the relegation zone. Efe Yarhere's 36th minute goal was all Wolves needed to secure victory at the Delta State Polytechnic Stadium in Ozoro.

Makalala said the new head coach, Ortega Deniran has brought winning mentality into the team, adding that the team is united more than never before and they are all happy with his programme.

“We are back and we are doing well now. We beat Lobi Stars at home which is a sign of a good thing to come for the team and I believe we will get a good result against Katsina United too,” Makalala told Sportinglens.blogspot.com.

He added: “Since the new coach came into the team our concentration has been high and all the players have been given their best. The new coach is really doing well and all the players are happy.

“There is love and unity in the team now. The new coach and the chairman are really doing well in bringing love and unity to the entire team. With this new development, we are sure that we will be doing well in our matches.

“The management is doing their best and it is our duty as players to bring out our best and play well so that we can improve on our position on the log. The position we found ourselves right now is not our destined position and we will do everything to move to a better position.

“When it comes to players’ salary the management has done well so far and I will say they are trying their best. We will not relent until we achieve the best for the team.”
