United’s technical adviser Abdullahi Biffo has attributed his team’s success
story to his players’ determination to fly high and the willingness to give
their best to the club, Sportinglens.blogspot.com reports.
Biffo, who
just returned from the United States of America, where he went for a coaching
course, appreciated the effort of his boys in the league so far, describing
them as a set of players who are always willing to learn.
The former
Niger Tornadoes coach, who guided ‘The
Changi Boys’ to the 7th position in the NPFL table before the World Cup break,
also stressed that financial motivation from the club is helping the team in
his quest to achieve its objective.
“My boys are
determined and are always willing to give their best on the pitch. They are a
coachable set of players who are always willing to learn,” Biffo said to Sportinglens.blogspot.com.
He added:
“Yes, it is obvious we are doing well in the league but the secret is as a
result of a huge financial motivation we are getting from the management.
“I don’t
know about other clubs but I must say this, Katsina United is the first club
where I have worked and as soon as we are done with a game, we get our match
bonuses the same day. This is a huge motivation.”
Katsina
United will travel to Omoku in Rivers State to keep a date with Go Round FC in
the NPFL matchday 25 when the Nigeria League resumes.
