Kano Pillars
striker Junior Lokosa has expressed his desire to concentrate on the Nigeria
Professional Football League (NPFL) with the hope of helping Sai Masu Gida winning
silverware at the end of the season, Sportinglens.blogspot.com reports.
Lokosa made
the assertion after resuming training with his team-mates at Kano Pillars after
his failed three weeks trip to Norway.
The former First
Bank of Lagos had trials with SK Brann FC of Norway with the expectation to
join the team but he failed to secure a deal with the club.
The club’s
Media Officer, Idris Malikawa said Lokosa joined the team's training on Tuesday
morning at the Sani Abacha Stadium, Kano.
In a chat
with Sportinglens.blogspot.com, Malikawa said Lokosa is ready to wait for God’s
time to secure a favourable deal that will enable him to play professional
football abroad.
“I'm back
and I’m waiting for God's time for me to play professional football outside
Nigeria,” Lokosa was quoted as saying.
Lokosa also commended
the management and entire fans of the club for their concern to the well being
of the players in the team and assured that he will not relent in his efforts
in moving the club forward.
“We want him
to move forward. It is not about Lokosa alone,
but all our players should have opportunities to move higher in their choosing
careers. If opportunity comes for anyone of them, we will allow them to go. But
they should not be in hurry and choose the right time and right club. Lokosa has
promised to be focused and help Pillars to archive something great this season,”
Malikawa said to Sportinglens.blogspot.com.
