Kano Pillars
technical adviser Ibrahim Musa has warned his players to avoid mistakes if they
are ready to make any impact in the ongoing Nigeria Professional Football
League (NPFL) which entered matchday 13 on Sunday, Sportinglens.blogspot.com reports.
Musa stated
this after his team’s 2-1 loss to Heartland FC at the Okigwe Township Stadium
in Imo State.
All the
three goals were scored in the first half. Godwin Okoko Emmanuel opened scoring
for the home side in the 12thminute before Rabiu Ali got an equalizer for the
visitors. However, Ibrahim Idrissu 40th minute own goal gifted the Nasi
Millionaires all three points at stake in the match.
A furious
Musa said after the match that his boys made unprofessional mistakes in some of their games.
“It was a
game we should not have lost but our defenders committed technical mistakes. We
have a long way to go this season because we lost some matches we shouldn’t
have. Sometimes our boys did not play as professionals, if we want to achieve
something in this competition, we have to avoid all this costly errors,” Musa
said to Sportinglens.blogspot.com.
He added:
“We played well in the first half before we conceded the first goal. In fact we
should have scored at least two goals before we conceded that goal. But after
so many missed opportunities our boys woke up and they equalized. After we got
the goal they were celebrating and they forgot that we are here for business
and allowed the home team to control the game.”
