Abia State Governor,
Dr Victor Okezie Ikpeazu has donated two brand new luxury buses to Abia
Warriors and Enyimba FC to enable the clubs experience more comfort when
travelling for league matches.
Handing over
the keys of the vehicle to the clubs, at the Government House, Umuahia,
Governor Ikpeazu said the donation was a demonstration of his love for sports
and hope it would motivate the teams for more action this season.
The Abia
State number one citizen, who said his administration, will continue to accord
priority to the development of all sports in the state, however called on the
private sector and other well meaning individuals to lend a helping hand in
this regard since sports is capital intensive.
Receiving
the keys, an obviously elated chairman of Abia Warriors FC, chief Emeka Inyama
commended the Governor for the gesture which he noted will inspire the teams to
perform more and assured him of the club's support at all times.
