The
management of Kano Pillars was not happy with the way the centre referee Dotun
S. O from Oyo state handled their Match
Day 16 of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) match against El Kanemi
in Maiduguri on Thursday.
El Kanemi defeated
Kano Pillars 2-0 to secure maximum three points at stake in the match.
Kano Pillars spokesman Idris Malikawa said he was surprised how the match officials handled the match and appealed to the League Management Company (LMC) to
review the video tape of the match.
The LMC is
doing its best to improve the standard of the league but still some match
officials are not helping the matter. This
is one of the unfortunate officiating I observed so far this season. The match
officials didn’t have confidence in their duties,” Malikawa said.
