El Kanemi Warriors position is worrisome, says Ezinwo

By Taofeek Babalola

El-Kanemi Warriors Chief coach, Ernest Ezinwo has expressed concerned over his team’s current position on the Nigeria professional Football League (NPFL) table, Sportinglens.blogspot.com reports.

The Borno Armies is currently languishing at the bottom of the table after a 1-0 defeat to Rangers FC of Enugu in the matchday 8 game on Sunday.

Substitute, Kelvin Itoya’ late minute strike was the difference between the two sides as Flying Antelopes ran away with all three points at stake to continue the club’ dominance over visiting El-Kanemi Warriors at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu in the past five seasons.

Ezinwo, who has been taken charge of the team in the absence of the team’s technical adviser Imama Amakapabo, said his team deserved something in Sunday's encounter but they were very unlucky.

Sportinglens.blogspot.com reports that Amapakabo traveled with the Super Eagles B team to Morocco for African Nations Championship (CHAN). Although, he was on the bench when El Kanemi lost to Rangers on Sunday.

“Football can’t be adequately quantified, as you may play a very good game but end on the loser’s side and that was what happened in the game. We were not lucky in the match. Our current position gives us serious cause for concern but I believe that soon we shall get it right,” Ezinwo.
