The management
of Niger Tornadoes of Minna has parted company with its technical adviser Erasmus
Onuh after nine matches in the 2017/2018 Nigeria Professional Football League
(NPFL), Sportinglens.blogsport.com reports.
Onuh was
appointed by the new board few days to the commencement of the league season.
He replaced former head coach Abubakar Bala who was harshly sacked by the management.
The management
has asked the team’s chief coach Hamza Abara to take charge of the team pending
the appointment of a new coach.
According to
a statement released by the club, stating that the agreement was reached due to
the recent poor results of the club in the NPFL.
“After due
consultation during the management meeting this Tuesday. The management agreed
to sack Technical Adviser Erasmus Onu. This is due to the club performance
recently, which the management is not comfortable about.
“Our chief
coach Hamza Abara has been notified to take charge of the team immediately
pending the time we search for a coach suitable for the position of the
technical adviser. We wish coach Erasmus Onu all the best in his future
endeavours.”
