Eagles’ technical adviser, Gernot Rohr will call up 28 players for the planned
friendlies in March against Poland coming up in March 23rd in Warsaw and Serbia
later on the 27th in London.
The Eagles
handler told Sportinglife that the coaching crew is monitoring the players'
performances at their respective clubs, while the friendlies would present the
opportunity to look at new players.
According to
the coach, "Our preparation for World Cup is going according to plans. We
are actively monitoring our players’ performances in their respective clubs. We
have two friendlies to prepare for in March. We have the list of 28 players
that will be invited for the games. The games will give us the opportunity to
look at new players.
The coach
also stated the importance of the team gelling before the World Cup. “It has
been a long time that we played together. Since the friendly against Argentina,
the team has played together and it is very important to know ourselves better
before going to Russia. We have to build our team spirit before the competition
and I hope there would not be any injuries to worry about."
