United trio of Destiny Ashadi, Lookmam Muhammed and Usman Barau are not likely
to be available for Sunday’s matchday 14 of the Nigeria Professional Football
League (NPFL) clash against Mountain of Fire and Miracle Ministries (MFM) at
the Agege Stadium, Lagos, Sportinglens.blogsport.com reports.
The club’s
technical adviser, Abdullahi Biffo disclosed the development to Sportinglens.blogsport.com.
Biffo
revealed that Ashadi who is one of the team’s utility players is down with sickness.
The mercurial midfielder managed to play the last game against Heartland but
the team coach said Ashadi needs more time to recover.
Muhammed
will miss the action due to a knee injury he sustained during his side last
game against Heartland FC of Owerri. He was substituted in the 72 minutes when
it was obvious that he could no long continue with the game.
However,
Barau was ruled out of the game due to an accumulated five yellow cards.
In a chat
with Sportinglens.blogsport.com, Biffo expressed confidence that their absence
won’t have any adverse effect on his team’s plans when they face MFM.
“There is
nothing to fear because that is why we signed 35 players for this season. I
think it will be an opportunity for other players to get chance to play and
show case their talents. We are not a one man team. Ashadi managed to play last
game but we will look at him tomorrow (today),” Biffo told Sportinglens.blogsport.com.
