Turkish top
club Galatasaray are reportedly set to sign Super Eagles and Yeni Malatyaspor
midfielder, Azubuike Okechukwu in the summer.
Azubuike who
is highly rated by the Turkish press has been impressive this season for
Malatyaspor. And he is presently
renowned as one of the best midfielders in the Turkish top flight.
Sources
close to the former captain of the Nigeria U-23 Olympic team revealed that the
current table toppers of the Turkish league are willing to grab Azubuike, who
has a €5m price tag by Malatyaspor.
According to
the reliable source, Malatyaspor spurned several offers for the dark
complexioned midfielder by some top teams in England and France, as well as in
Turkey.
Thus
underlining the importance of Azubuike, whose contract with the team remains
two years.
He added
that the player, however, is optimistic of moving to a bigger club in the
summer despite the hard stance of the management of his present club.
