chairman, unveils new kits
The
management of Nationwide league One side, Phoenix Athletic Sports Club of
Ado-Ekiti, have unfolded plans for the 2018/2019 football season.
The General
Manager of the team, Bayo Olanlege, in a chat with the press, was upbeat about
the readiness of the club to improve upon the achievements of the last season,
when it narrowly missed promotion to the the professional league cadre.
According to
him, towards achieving their lofty aspirations, the management of the club has
elected a new chairman to direct its affairs for the next two years. The new
chairman is UK based reputable sports administrator, Olalekan Ogunbanjo, who
replaces Oluwaseyi Motunrayo.
He disclose
further that the club in line with its
promotion bids have retained 10 players from the last season, while it
recruited 12 U-17 players, as well as 4 players in the U-20 class to prosecute
the new season games.
" We
are not resting on our oars. We have recruited and selected a very young
team, that we are sure would help our
aspirations.
" Much
more, we're also banking on the experience and astuteness of our new chairman
to realise our dreams," Olanlege stated.
Meanwhile,
the club have also unveiled its home and away kits. The new kits were made by
Owu sportswear, whose agreement with the team would last till 2020.
