Heartland name Onyegbulem as acting coach

The management of Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) side, Heartland Football club of Owerri has directed team’s head coach Ezekiel Onyegbulem to take charge of the team following the suspension of the technical adviser Ramson Madu, Sportinglens.blogspot.com reports.



Madu was suspended on Friday over poor results in the league.

Also, Isaac Mbaegbu will move from the youth team to the senior team to assist the Onyegbulem.

“The management of Heartland FC of Owerri, led by Chibuzor Etuemena, has directed head coach Ramson Madu to temporarily step aside.

“The decision is due to the team’s recent poor performances in the ongoing 2017/2018 NPFL,” a statement signed by the club’s media officer, Henry Echefu read.

“In place of the Madu-led technical crew, the club has directed that coach Ezekiel Onyegbulem should take charge of the team.

“He will be assisted by coach Isaac Mbaegbu who is recently in the club’s youth team, the Team B. The decision takes place with immediate effect.”


Onyegbulem first official assignment will be on Sunday when he lead the team against the visiting Nasarawa United in the matchday 14 of the NPFL the Dan Anyiam Stadium.
