The
management of Nasarawa United has beefed up its squad with the signing of two
strikers in the Nigeria professional Football League (NPFL) mid transfer
window, Sportinglens.blogspot.com reports.
The club’s
Team Manager, Solomon Babanja disclosed to SportingLife that the team is poised
to work on the affected position lacking in the squad for the second stanza of
the league.
The two
strikers, according to Babanja, are Adeniran Thomas from Lobi Star of Markurdi
and Ikenna Offor from Flomat FC Abuja.
Babanja
added that the club will benefit from the quality of the new players
“Nasarawa
United are known as a club that always give young players chance to excel, this
is what we are trying to do this time around too. The two strikers are good,
young and experienced. We have seen Thomas during league matches while Offor
was discovered during a club completion in Abuja. I have no doubt in my mind
that they will deliver,” Babanja told Sportinglens.blogspot.com.
He added: “Nasarawa United started on a low
performance but the team is picking up now. Apart from the game against Gombe
United where we lost with wide margin we have not done badly since then. We
will keep on pushing with the hope of ending the season very well.”
