The management of Kano Pillars FC has denied Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) FC claim that Sai Masu Gida signed one of their players, Abayomi Junior illegally.
3SC management
had on Wednesday claimed that Kano Pillars had contracted Abayomi without
following due process.
But the club’s
chairman Surajo Shuaibu Jambul in a statement released through the club’s Media
Officer, Rilwanu Idris Malikawa, said Kano Pillars agreed to sign Abayomi based
on the documents he presented to them as a free agent.
He
emphasized that the player has confirmed that his contract with 3SC had expired
and all the documents concerning his change of allegiance are available as evidence.
“Yes, we
have written to them earlier about the said player, and we also requested them
to allow us to talk to him, but we later withdrew due to their high demand and
expectations on him. At last, Abayomi has joined us and confirmed that his contract
with Shooting Stars FC has expired,” Jambul said.
The seasoned
administrator said Kano Pillars are law abiding club and never involved in
illegal signing of players.
“Check our records;
we have never signed a player illegal. We are always doing our best to see that
we followed due process in all our dealings, and that is for the interest of
the club, Kano state Government and the good people of Kano State,” Jambul concluded.
