Rohr hands invitation to 6 uncapped players, unveils 25-man squad



.Alampasu, Musa, Osimhen make list


Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr has handed invitation to six new players in the 25-man squad invited for October friendlies against Cote d’Ivoire and Tunisia slated for Austria.

According to the release made available to the media on Monday evening, Chidera Ejuke from CSKA Moscow and Genk striker Cyriel Dessers led the uncapped players.         

The other uncapped players called up are goalkeeper Matthew Yakubu, new FC Porto signing Zaidu Sanusi as well as midfielders Samson Tijani and Frank Onyeka.

Leicester City striker Kelechi Iheanacho, goalkeeper Dele Alampasu as well as Portugal-based midfielder Mikel Agu have also earned a recall to the team.

Eagles skipper Ahmed Musa will lead the likes of William Ekong, Moses Simon, Samuel Chukwueze and Victor Osimhen on this 25-man squad for the forthcoming friendlies.

However, Omonia Nicosia of Cyprus defender, Abdullahi Shehu and four others have been placed on Standby.
