Watford have handed number five shirt to the Super Eagles defender William Troost-Ekong after signing a five-year contract at Vicarage Road on Tuesday.
The Nigeria international defender who was unveiled to the fans on Tuesday joined the Hornets from Udinese.
Udinese confirmed
the move on their official website.
“Udinese Calcio announce the permanent sale of Williams Troost-Ekong to Watford FC,” the statement read.
The
27-year-old, who was born in the Netherlands, began his senior career in the
Eredivisie with Groningen and Dordrecht before spells in Belgium and Norway.
He then
joined Bursaspor in Turkey before moving to Serie A with Udinese in 2018.
