Professional Football League (NPFL) side, Ikorodu United has appointed former
Dutch international Theodorus Jacob de Jong as new coach. Oga Boys confirmed
the appointment of the former Willem II and Cambuur manager after announcing parting
of ways by mutual consent with Sam Okpodu on 13th of June 2016.
The former
Rod JC and Feyenoord midfielder, who had previous managerial experience at FC
Zwolle, SC Cambuur and Willem II has signed a contract at the Onikan Stadium.
An officially
unveiling in expected later this week. The 68-year-old tactician would be
hoping to rescue the Oga Boys from relegation with just 15 points from 15 games
to stay at the base of the NPFL log.
