Imenger warns Lobi Stars against complacency

By Taofeek Babalola

Lobi Stars Team Manager Barnabas Imenger has urged players and coaching crew of Lobi Stars FC of Makurdi not get carried away with the team’s recent success in the ongoing Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) season, Sportinglens.blogspot.com reports.

Lobi Stars held Abia Warriors to a 1-1 draw in the matchday 15 encounter on Sunday to maintain top spot in the league with 27 points.

In a chat with Sportinglens.blogspot.com, Imenger said the team cannot afford to relax at the moment and they should focus on the challenges ahead of them.

“The job is not yet done. The coaching crew and players should know that this is the time to work harder than before. The team needs to be more prayerful as well, because it is not easy to stay at the top. We have to continue to build on the momentum,” Imenger said to Sportinglens.blogspot.com.

“The team is doing well at the moment and we have to be focused. The race for the title is too competitive and there are more matches to be played that is why we have to be committed with what we are doing and we have to do it very well to achieve our set target at the end of the day.”
