Plateau
United striker King Osanga has described Saturday's first leg CAF Confederation
Cup play-off tie against USM Alger of Algeria as a must-win for his side, Sportinglens.blogspot.com reports.
The former
youth international said that if Plateau United fail to beat Algerian side at Agege
Stadium, it would significantly reduce their chances of clinching a group stage
spot.
In a chat
with Sportinglens.blogspot.com after their training session on Friday afternoon, the former
Warri Wolves said he and his teammates know what it as take and ready to give
everything to the match to get a win.
"It is
definitely a must-win game for us. We know what is at stake and we have to
fight until the end to achieve our target. We have to get a win so as to make
the return leg an easy one for us. It is very important to win on Saturday
because failure to do that will put a lot of pressure on us and it may affect
our chances of progressing to the group stages,” Osanga told Sportinglens.blogspot.com.
He added:
“We have been training very well for the match and I believe everybody is in
the right frame of mind to get the job done on the pitch tomorrow (today). We
have a good team and we have to get everything right to get the victory.”
