Nigeria Premier Football League NPFL side Ikorodu City have promoted five academy products to the senior team. The Lagos based Ogar Boys as Ikorodu are fondly called revealed the players’ identities on their social networks.
The players
included defenders Chiemerie Ezeaka and Gift Udoh; forwards Maliq Musa and Samuel Ezekiel plus
midfielder, Dagogo Ibifubara.
The recent
injection of the Academy players comes on the heels of four new signings
unveiled by Ikorodu City in the last 24 hours.
Liberia
National Team goalie Derrick Julu joined from his country’s first division side
Watanga FC on a 2 year deal.
Uchechukwu
Onyemaechi joined on a multi-year contract from Ijebu United, Taiwo Alao
arrives from Sporting Lagos while Rasheed Owolabi linked up with the club on a
2 year deal from Inter Lagos.
Ikorodu will
begin their campaign in the new Nigeria Premier Football League season with an
away clash against Kwara United on 24 August 2025 in Ilorin.
