Malumfashi demands more commitment from Katsina Utd players

By our reporter

Katsina United FC Chairman Surajo Malumfashi has craved for more commitment from the players and patience from club’s supporters following the team’s poor start to the 2025/2026 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season.

Malumfashi made the charge following what he characterized as a disappointing result in the season's first match on Sunday.

Katsina United suffered a 0-1 home loss to the newly promoted side Warri Wolves in the league opener at the Muhammadu Dikko Stadium in Katsina.

Igbunnu Evwierhurhoma 76th minute goal was all the Seasiders needed to claim all three points in the game.

The chairman praised the players' performance despite the game's outcome, encouraging both players and the technical crew to do more since the season only began.

Malumfashi commended the turnout of the supporters who assembled at Katsina's Muhammadu Dikko Stadium to cheer the team in the first home match.

He assured willingness to do all possible to restore the Club's lost glory by inspiring the players to perform above and beyond expectations.

The Chairman also expressed his commitment to put a smile on the faces of the club's thronging fans, claiming that things would improve for the better.
