El Kanemi Warriors have beefed up
its squad with the duo of Kenneth Ehis and Emmanuel Ajia ahead of 2016/2017
Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) season. Sportinglens.blogspot.com reports that Ehis, a
central defender, joined Borno Army from Gombe United while Ajia, an attacking
midfielder, moved to the Maiduguri-based outfit from Lobi Stars.
The club's technical adviser, Ladan
Bosso revealed to Sportinglens.blogspot.com that the pair have already trained with the club
and will soon complete their clearances.
“We have been able to bring in experienced
players into the team. Kenneth Ehis and Emmanuel Ajia have good qualities and
winning mentality,” Bosso disclosed to Sportinglens.blogspot.com .
Bosso also disclosed that the Gombe
pre-season tournament has helped the team to identify its mistakes and will
make necessary corrections before the league kicks off.
He said the team is in Maiduguri to
help new players to acclimatize with weather condition and home ground.
“The pre-season tournament was meant
to identify individual and the team’s problems. It is now time to work on it
for better tactics and proper blending to ensure a more cohesive team than ever
before. We are in Maiduguri to acclimate
with the weather and field condition.
“I wish to special thank people of
Gombe State, especially stadium management, Gombe State Sports Commission for
their hospitality during our stay in Gombe for pre-season competition.”
