Tourists left full back Christopher Waziri has made a sensational return to the
club. Waziri was
expected to join Enugu Rangers having trained with the Flying Antelopes for
some weeks, but had a change of mind and opted to return to his former club.
He has since
joined the team in Enugu on Friday for the ongoing Super 4 tournament.
Sportinglens.blogspot.com gathered from a source that Waziri's sudden change of mind was as a result of the fact that he foreseen a difficult situation for him to get a first team chance at
Rangers because the player that is playing
in his position is very good.
“Waziri is back
in the team on Friday. His position is very competitive at Rangers, and if he wants
to make first time he has to be extra good. The player that is playing in his
position is a citizen of Enugu, except he wants to be a second class citizen. I
think he made a good decision to come back to a team where he can get first
team jersey. He is welcome and everybody loves him,” a source told Sportinglens.blogspot.com.
Apart from
Waziri, the club's first choice goalkeeper Emeka Nwabulu has also make return
to the club after his initial intention to leave the club.
The Bauchi
fans would be glad to have him back with the team, having played pivotal role
in the team's success last season.
