Club (3SC) FC mercurial midfielder, Fawaz Gbolahan Otun has rejected a move to Premier league
rivals, Sunshine Stars and newly promoted Remo Stars for the love of the club.The Ijebu Ode-born player disclosed this
during an interview on his second season with the Oluyole Warriors.
Fawaz was discovered during a pre-season
friendly with former club, Almar FC in Ijebu Ode, last season and since then,
he has been an integral part of the team's regular line ups.
"I am
happy and proud, playing for Shooting Stars is a dream comes true. The club
brought me to limelight and that's why I rejected offers from Sunshine Stars
and Remo Stars, doing that would make me an ingrate," he said.
Fawaz, an U-20 invitee, acknowledged ex-tactician, Khadiri Ikhana who signed him and the home fans who gave him a rousing welcome.
He also eulogised Coach Fatai Amoo and his crew for their
professional approach during the screening exercise. "The whole process was
transparent and fantastic", he concluded.
Nonso Paul Ogbonna was another player
discovered last season but he has returned to former club Remo Stars, after the
club promotion to the elite division.
