Tourists striker Godwin Obaje has revealed to Sportinglens.blogspot.com that it took him two
days before he could adapt to Russian weather when he went for trails with
Spartak Moscow. The
Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) highest goal scorer believes he
could cope with the severe weather if he is eventually getting an offer from
the Russian premier league giant.
“It
is not easy playing in Russia. The weather is somehow harsh but I can adapt
with the situation. It was a new experience to me when I arrived in Russia but
I was able to adapt after two days,” Obaje disclosed to Sportinglens.blogspot.com.
The
lanky striker added that he learnt new things during his short stay with the
club.
“I
trained once daily with Spartak Moscow but what I can say is that their
training pattern is more tactical while it is more of physical training here in
Nigeria. I learnt a lot and I know it will help me in my career,” he said.
On
his contract, he added: “Everything went well but I will still allow my agent
to finilise on it before I say anything about it.” he said.
