MFM are condemned to beat Lobi Stars, Says Ilechukwu

Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries Football Club head coach, Fidelis Ilechukwu has described Sunday’s Matchday three Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) clash against Lobi Stars a must win for his side.

The Olukoya Boys suffered a 4-0 defeat to FC Ifeanyiubah in Matchday 2 fixture played in Nnewi on Wednesday.

The Lagos-based team gaffer, who was obviously unhappy with the result in Nnewi, said that his side has no option other than winning the game against Lobi Stars at the Soccer Temple, Agege Stadium in Lagos to pacify their fans.

"We can't expect anything less than winning because we can't lose 4-0 and come to our home and draw or lose. The thing here is that we have put the loss behind us and concentrate on the next match which I believe by God's grace winning is 100 per cent sure," Ilechukwu said.

The Nnewi born tactician has also taken full responsibility for his wards' 4-0 defeat to FC Ifeanyiubah.

Ilechukwu attributed the defeat to wrong selection and early injuries to two of his key players in the first half of the encounter.

Ilechukwu said: “For Wednesday's game, I have to take the blame because I introduced new players to the starting line-up who didn't start against Niger Tornadoes and that was the problem. I did that because of the marathon nature of the league, so I decided to start new five players so that I can rest some players for the next game but at the end it turned that way.
"Secondly, in the first half, two of our players were injured and that forced me to change the game plan by bringing in two players and the changes really affected my tactics and game plan but at the end of the day excuses can't help the situation. So I take the blame for everything that has happened and the loss against FC Ifeanyiubah."
