Nigeria International and Watford's
Odion Ighalo has completed his move to Chagchun Yatai in the Chinese Super
League. The fee is
believed to be £20m with add-ons potentially taking it up to £25m.
Ighalo
leaves with the best wishes of every Watford fan after netting 20 times in the
Championship as the Hornets won promotion to the Premier League in the
2014/2015 campaign.
He followed
that up with some memorable goals in the Premier League, and also scored in the
FA Cup quarter-final win at Arsenal last March.
Unfortunately
Ighalo struggled for form this season, scoring just two goals and failing to
find the net since September in the 4-2 win at West Ham.
Overall he
made exactly 100 appearances for the Hornets, his last in the 2-2 draw at
Bournemouth ten days ago, scoring 39 goals.
