Katsina Utd are not afraid of Kano Pillars, says Biffo

By Taofeek Babalola

Katsina United technical adviser, Abdullahi Biffo has revealed that his side will be at their top form when they host Kano Pillars in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) matchday one fixture on January 14 at the Katsina Township Stadium, Sportinglens.blogspot.com.

Biffo, who took charge of the team last month, stressed that his team is not afraid to face any big team in the league.

The former Abia Warriors manager believes that Sai Masu Gida will come into the game full of confidence having defeated his side with a wide margin in a pre-season Ahlan Cup tourney in Kano recently but he said the game will be a different encounter.

“If you want to be a champion you have to be readied to face any team in the league at any giving time. Kano Pillars vs Katsina United will always be an interesting game concerning the history between the two sides. Kano Pillars are good side and I know they will come with confidence because they beat us recently in a friendly game. The league is different from friendly game and they will meet an improved Katsina United when we face them,” Biffo told Sportinglens.blogspot.com.

“A lot have been changed in the team since our last meeting with them. I have beefed up the squad with additional two players and all the mistakes noticed during the pre-season campaigns will be corrected before the league kick off. We are ready to face any team any day,” has said.
