Super Eagles forward Odion Ighalo has said that Nigeria has all it takes to qualify from its World Cup group and go far in the Russia 2018 FIFA World, Sportinglens.blogspot.com reports.

Nigeria was drawn alongside Argentina, Iceland and Croatia in the Group B after the draws in Moscow on Friday.

Asked about Eagles’ chances to advance from the group, although, the Changchun Yatai F.C of China forward admitted that the group would be tough but he insisted that Nigeria have characters to advance from the group.

“The other teams in our group would be wary of Nigeria too because if they look at our record for qualification for the World Cup, even Argentina. It is a very tough group but it is possible to come out of the group. If we look at the way we qualified for the world Cup I think we have all it takes to qualify from that group.

“Being my first World Cup experience, the atmosphere would be great. We want to go past the group stage and go far in the tournament. It is going to be a great event and we would be there to give our best,” Ighalo said.

The former Watford FC of England striker also said he would have preferred England Group G which has Belgium, Tunisia and Panama.

“With all due respect to England but I would have love be in their group. England has not been doing well at the World Cup and I would have preferred their group.”
