Niger Tornadoes FC of Minna have emerged champions of the 2020/2021 Nigeria National League Season after beating Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan 3-2 in the final to lift trophy at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium on Sunday, Sportinglens.blogspot.com reports.

Gombe United forward, Sani Abbani hs emerged the winner of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) VAT Wonder Goal 9 for Match Day 28 in a close race that saw him edge closest rival, Sunshine Stars Joseph Abiodun with Abu Azeez of Shooting Stars coming a distant third.

El Kanemi Warriors of Maiduguri have emerged winners of this year’s North East Pre -season competition after defeating Gombe United 2-1 in the final match played at the Pantami Stadium, Gombe State on Thursday. Goals from new signing, Efe Yarhere and club’s attacking midfielder, Samuel Mathias was all Borno Army needed to lift the trophy as Fabassou Djoufou scored Gombe United’s only goal of the encounter via penalty kick.

Gombe United return to NPFL

Gombe United FC have gained promotion to the Nigeria Professional Football League after spending two seasons in the Nigeria National League (NNL). The Savannah Scorpions made it back to the top flight football following a 3-1 victory over Supreme FC of Abuja in the week 14 fixture of the NNL played at the Area 3 football pitch on Saturday.

Gombe Utd berate referee over Dreams Intl defeat

The management of Gombe United has expressed dismay over the way and manner the central referee handled the match day seven of the Nigeria National League (NNL) fixture against Dreams Intl FC at the Aper Aku, Stadium. The club Team Manager, Ibrahim Kwairanga claimed that the referee awarded two dubious penalties against his team while he sent two of their players out unfairly.
