From Taofeek Babalola, Tangier, Morocco

Super Eagles defender, Stephen Eze has said that the team is poised to go all out for victory in the quarter-final game against Angola in the African Nations Championship (CHAN) on Sunday in Tangier, Morocco by 4:30pm (5:30pm Nigerian time).

Eze, who emerged the Man-of-the-Match in the game against Libya, told SportingLife that the team's confidence is more than never before and they could not afford to slip up at this stage of the competition.

"Nigerians should keep believing in this team and keep supporting us. We know we are representing over 180 million Nigerians and we can't afford to let them down at this stage. Our desire is to make our county proud and not to be a failure," Eze told SportingLife.

"All I believe is hard work and determination which has been really helping us in this tournament. I believe with unity in the team we should be able to come out victorious against Angola on Sunday. Despite the fact that we are playing for deferent clubs, I can tell you that our relationship is very cordial and it is working for our success here."

Eze, who recently signed for a Bulgarian first league club Lokomotiv Plovdiv from Kano Pillars said they have learnt from their mistakes and will work on their lapses before the game on Sunday.

"The goal we conceded in the game against Equatorial Guinea has really thought us a good lesions. What happened in that game has happened and gone. What is important is that we have been able to learn from our mistakes and we will work on our lapses.

"There is good communication in the defense and we have been able to understand each other which has been very helpful to us. We will keep our focus till the end."
