Super Eagles B captain, Ikechukwu Ezenwa has revealed that he and his colleagues are more determined
and eager for victory over Angola in Sunday's quarter finals tie at the Stade Ibn
Batouta, Tangier, Morocco.
Nigeria came
from one goal down to beat Equatorial Guinea 3-1 in the last Group C game on
Tuesday to qualify for the quarter finals with 7 points.
The Enyimba
of Aba goalkeeper admitted in a chat with SportingLife that the game Nzalang
Nacional against was not easy for him and his
colleagues but they were able to come back based on their determination for
success.
Ezenwa said: “We know the important of this game and
important of this competition. Thank God that we top the group and we are
looking for the quarter final game against Angola. We are very prepared and
focused for the Angola’s game.”
He added: “I
am very happy and I thank God for the victory over Equatorial Guinea because it
was not easy. We were losing 1-0 in the first half and we came back in the
second half to win by 3-1 which is good for the team. We were able to achieve
this based on our fighting spirit and unity among the team.”
