Eagles captain Ahmed Musa has dedicated his Nigeria footballer of the year
award to his teammates and everyone who has contributed to his success as a
footballer, Sportinglens.blogspot.com reports.
The Al Nassar FC of Saudi Arabia forward was named footballer of the year at this year’s Nigerian Sports Award held at the Eko and Suites Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos on Friday evening.
The former
Kano Pillars striker beat his national team teammate, Kenneth Omeruo and
Falconets captain Rashidat Ajibade to the award.
Musa, who
was in Johannesburg for the AFCON qualifying game against South Africa during
the award, took to his twitter handle @ahmedmusa718 to celebrate the award.
“To be awarded Footballer of the year is a humbling honor. Thanks to my teammates who make me
better and everyone who has supported me. This is for you ,,” Musa twitted.
