Sportinglens.blogspot.com can reports that the Super Eagles and Napoli star striker Victor Osimhen won’t join his teammates for Wednesday’s Champions League clash with AC Milan.
Osimhen trained separately from the rest of the group on Tuesday morning and left the Partenopei’s training ground at Castel Volturno in his car, after he was dropped from the squad by coach Spalletti.
The Nigeria
international suffered a muscle injury while on international duty with Nigeria
at the end of March and hasn’t yet recovered.
He will miss
the first leg of the Champions League quarter-final against Milan on Wednesday
and the same is true of Giovanni Simeone.
However, his teammates will soon be heading to Milan,
where Spalletti and captain Giovanni Di Lorenzo will address the media at a
pre-match press conference.
