Coach Abubakar Arikya said Nasarawa United were unlucky to lose in their 1-0 defeat to Plateau United in the NPFL game at the New Jos Stadium, on Sunday evening, Sportinglens.blogspot.com reports.
In a game
largely dominated by the Solid Miners, it was Nenrot Silas' 13th minute
deflected goal that separated both sides at full-time.
Nasarawa
United who are still pushing to move out of the red zone in Group 'A' will host
Shooting Stars Sports Club of Ibadan in their next game on Sunday, 29th April,
2023.
Before then,
the team will travel to Minna, Niger State, for a round of 64 National
Federation Cup tie against Kebbi United on Wednesday, 26th April, 2023.
"Everyone
can attest to the fact that we played better than our hosts today. We were just
unlucky. It's painful that we lost. We now turn our focus to our next game at
home against visiting Shooting Stars of Ibadan where we hope to get the maximum
points and continue with our fight against the drop zone," Arikiya said.
