Lobi Stars
team manager Barnabas Imenger has charged his players to be mentally prepared
for Enyimba’s game if they want to get a deserving result in the game. Lobi Stars
host Paul Aigbogun and his team in a matchday 34 of the Nigeria Professional Football
League (NPFL) tie at the Aper Aku stadium on Sunday, knowing that another
victory for Enyimba would place them in a comfortable position to fight for the
league title.
The coach
Uwua-tutored side secured a vital away point in a rescheduled league game
against league leader, Wikki Tourists in Bauchi on Wednesday but Imenger said
the boys should suspend their celebration and concentrate on the game against
Enyimba.
“The league
is very funny, sometimes if a club get points away, they came back to lose at
home or getting a draw because they over celebrated. So I am warning them (Lobi
players) to get ready for this battle because Enyimba is a title contender and
you need everything to beat a team like Enyimba. I believe in the technical
crew and our players all we need to do is to get everything right,” Imenger
told SportingLife.
