Bayern
Munich front man Robert Lewandowski says he is feeling 'wonderful' following
the birth of his first child, Klara. Lewandowski's
wife, Anna, gave birth to their daughter on Thursday morning and the proud
father wasted no time in posting a picture of himself kissing his child,
alongside the caption: 'Proud Daddy of Klara. Wonderful feeling.'
The Poland
international took to Twitter shortly afterwards to thank his fans for their
support throughout the pregnancy.
He said:
'Today we have become parents of Klara! My wife Anna is feeling very well Thank
you for all your support!'
Bayern
Munich immediately tweeted back their congratulations to the couple:
'Congratulations, Lewy! We wish you, Anna and baby Klara all the best.'
Lewandowski
announced the pregnancy back in December when he dedicated a goal to his wife,
who is a famous fitness figure back in their home country.
The birth
caps a memorable week for the Bayern Munich forward, who scored twice for his
side in a 6-0 thrashing of Wolfsburg on Saturday.
Three points
at the Volkswagen Arena was enough to secure the Bavarians a fifth straight
Bundesliga title.
Lewandowski
is expected to feature when Bayern return to action against Darmstadt 98 at the
Allianz Arena on Saturday afternoon.
