The
management of Wikki Tourists FC of Bauchi has completed the
signing of a striker, Emmanuel Ebekwe Uzoma ahead of the second stanza of the Nigeria
Professional Football League (NPFL), Sportinglens.blogspot.com reports.
The club’s
media officer, Nasiru Kobi confirmed to Sportinglens.blogspot.com that Uzoma joined the club from Taraba United.
The
Bauchi-based side had difficulty in scoring goals in the first stanza and the
club is doing everything to solve the problem before the resumption of the
second stanza.
Uzoma will
work with the duo of Richard Jonathan and Kabiru Musa in the attack.
“What we are
doing now is for the good of the club. We want to solidify the team and I belief
that the inclusion Uzoma will add a bite to our attack. He is a young and
talented player,” Kobi said to Sportinglens.blogspot.com.
Kobi also
disclosed that the club has parted company with its General coordinator, Auwal
Babajada.
According to
Kobi, the club has scraped the office of the coordinator, adding that the Team
Manager, Aminu Dalhatu Umar, who was appointed few weeks ago will now take over
his duty.
“Our new
Team Manager will be doing the job of the coordinator with his own official
duty. This is part of the restructuring going on in the club and I believe at
the end of the day it will yield a positive result,” he said.
