According to
Sky Sports News, the Hammers have been the first to make an approach to City
for the youngster's services.
The report
does not state the amount offered for Iheanacho, although it is thought that
City value the forward at around £20m.
Should West
Ham sign Iheanacho, he would become the second player to join the Hammers from
City after the club recently reached a deal to bring Pablo Zabaleta to the
London Stadium once his contract expires on July 1.
Iheanacho
also has interest from Leicester, Everton, Southampton and West Bromwich Albion
plus clubs in the Bundesliga. City want to insert a buy-back option into any
transfer.
