Stars technical adviser, Mohammed Baba Ganaru has beefed up his squad with trio
of Philip Auta, Philip Asuquo and Zagari Mohammed ahead of the 2017/2018 Nigeria

Ganaru, who
joined the newly promoted side on Tuesday, is not leaving anything to chance by
bringing in experienced players that can help the team achieve something
meaningful this season.
It is
understood that Auta, who has donned the colours of Kano Pillars, Kwara United and
Enyimba is joining the team from Nasarawa United while Asuquo, a former 3SC
player, was signed from Kwara United after helping the Ilorin-based outfit
gained promotion to the NPFL. Zagari is reuniting with Ganaru at Yobe from Kano
Pillars.
“There is no
time to waste and we have to do everything very fast. We have been able to
bring in some experienced players into the team. Auta, Azuquo and Zagari have
been around for a long time and they will help the young players in the team to
get favourable result,” Ganaru told Sportinglens.blogspot.com.
“Apart from
these players, we still have notable players in the team too. We have ambition
and we are very determined to do well in the league. The atmosphere here is
right for football and we are calling on everybody to give maximum support to
the team.”
